Photo Album February 2007 - Roger at a debate on the European Constitution at the College of Europe, Bruges. From left to right, Roger, Luca - former parliamentary assistant to Thijs Berman, Corina Barsa - Roger's Moldovan former parliamentary assistant from Moldova, Dutch Socialist MEP Thijs Berman, Swedish EPP MEP Christofer Fjellner. The event was organised by Corina and Luca, now students at the college. Around forty students attended to hear a lively debate, with perceptive questions from the floor. Afterwards, Roger said "Nearly twenty years on, I was proud to follow in Margaret Thatcher's footsteps and take a euro-sceptic message to Bruges. Considering that in federalist terms the College of Europe is the Heart of Darkness, I felt I was given a very fair hearing." |
